#AAAFF24 + AFSSA Presents: “Killing the Violet”

June 29 @ 8:30 pm - 11:00 pm

$15

AFSSA is proud to be a community partner of the 2024 Austin Asian American Film Festival for KILLING THE VIOLET on Saturday, June 29 @ 9:10 pm!

Content consideration: Explicit sexual assault and violence

KILLING THE VIOLET: After a stranger breaks in and sexually assaults her, Sumire suddenly overcomes her writer’s block and starts writing again. The seemingly peaceful relationships around her begin to crumble—her boyfriend, vegetative father, step-mother… As she tries to cover the wound, everything slips toward uncertainty.

Asian Family Support Services of Austin will be tabling from 8:30-9:10 pm before the film screenings begins with resources for Asian survivors of violence and abuse, including information on our 24-hour hotline number at 877-281-8371.
